We’d like to propose that rosé is the most existing category in natural wine today. A new generation of innovative winemakers are seeing the potential of pink, and making rosés full of flavour and character.
It is, perhaps, the new orange. So what better time to showcase six of our core pink offerings than the last Saturday in July – the day of Pride Norwich.
We’ll taste three rosés from Domaine La Lauzeta, showing how the style of rosé can be influenced by conditions in the vineyard and choices on the winery. We’ll also taste two vibrant, distinctive and unfiltered natural rosés from Gardunha Sul in Beira Baixa, Portugal, and from Smallfry Wines in Barossa Valley, South Australia.
We’re looking forward to returning to the calm and quiet airiness of the Greenhouse Trust courtyard, and delighted to be reunited with Hannah Bingley, founder and operator of Freckles of Hannah, and maker of some impossibly intricate seasonal canapés; you’ll be served one of each of them to augment the tasting of the wines, along with good sourdough bread and olive oil.
