Wine in the Grapes Hill Garden

We’re hoping for a repeat of last year’s wonderful weather as we return to one of our favourite grass roots local community projects.
We’ll be pouring six natural wines which are exclusive to Substrata in the UK. We’ve selected beverages well suited to al fresco summer drinking, and to complete the picnic feel we have the pleasure of working once again with Rambling Roots, who have devised a mouth watering menu of plant based canapés to augment the tasting.

Rosé: Domaine La Lauzeta, Corteza Rosé 2023 (rrp £22) Our best-selling rosé. Pale, dry and mineral. White flowers, nectarine, redcurrant
Paired with cured carrot lox blini with soya ricotta, capers and dill
Red: Rendezvous Noir Gamay 2024 (rrp £25) Soft, juicy and earthy Loire Valley red. Can be enjoyed lightly chilled. Raspberry, plum, blackcurrant
Paired with broad bean, chilli & fennel dip, seeded sourdough cracker
Red:Gardunha Sul, Gatafunho Tinto 2024 (rrp £24) Spicy and savoury blend of indigenous Portuguese varieties. Sun-dried tomato, black pepper, balsamic
Paired with wild mushroom & rosemary arancino, smoked paprika aioli
