About Domaine La Lauzeta, Saint Chinian, ‘Corteza’ 2020
Tom Hills bought two old vineyards in 2015 to create Domaine La Lauzeta, and immediately began organic conversion. He has quickly gained recognition, and his wines are listed on 17 Michelin starred restaurants in France. No wonder, as the bright natural acidity in Tom’s wines make them versatile food wines; this one works well with spicy dishes, smoked oily fish or seared red meats.
This is the estate’s entry level red – an unoaked and vibrantly fruity blend of Syrah, Grenache and old vine Carignan, with flavours of plum and cherry, and definite notes of garrigues herbs – rosemary and thyme.
