About Domaine La Lauzeta, Corteza Rose 2023
This pale, shimmeringly just pink Languedoc rose is the height of refreshment. Crisp and fruity, with lots of stone fruit character – peach, nectarine and apricot, and a hint of red summer berries.
Made from approximately half and half Syrah and Grenache, with a soupçon of Cinsault, this has surprising creamy texture, making it a good match for oily fish, as well as summer afternoons.
Tom Hills bought two old vineyards in 2015 to create Domaine La Lauzeta, and immediately began organic conversion. He has quickly gained recognition, and his wines are listed on 17 Michelin starred restaurants in France. No wonder, as the bright natural acidity in Tom’s wines make them versatile food wines.
