About Pievalta, Verdicchio Superiore 2021
Alessandro Fenino and Silvia Loschi, a dynamic young winemaking couple in the Marché, have managed this 30 hectare estate in the Marche since it was bought by Lombardy-based Barone Pizzini in 2002.
in 2008, Pievalta was the first estate to be certified biodynamic in the Marche, and renewed soils of the estate are producing top quality Verdicchio grapes, from which Pievalta make a series of wines.
This is perhaps the classic example of Verdicchio. Fermented in stainless steel to produce a dry, crisp and fruity white. Green apple, pear and lemon fruit flavours, with some nutty and mineral touches, and impressive textural grip.
Enjoyable by itself, or would suit a range of foods – pasta, pesto, olive oil, almonds, seafood and white fish.
