Our Producers

Craig Isbel and Brian Conway met working a vintage in Beaujolais, France, and decided to set up their own winemaking project when they returned to their native South Australia. They set up base between Seppeltsfield and Greenock, on the Western ridge of the Barossa Valley, in an area with a high concentration of ungrafted and centenarian vines.

They love Beaujolais wine, and bring the juicy drinkability usually associated with Gamay into the warm climate reds that they grow.

Starting with a single barrel of wine, they have now built the only off-grid winery in the Barossa Valley, and use wastewater from the winery to irrigate vines on their home block.

Their home block of vines is small, so they augment what they grow with fruit from two other other trusted local growers – one is organic and wine isn’t.
