About Domaine La Lauzeta, ‘Jauzimen’ rosé 2022

This dry and unfiltered rosé is deeper in colour than the previous vintage. It has a much more fruit forward flavour profile, bursting with strawberry aromas. Battonage has added texture and a creaminess to the palate, making it a pleasure the dinner table as well as in the garden; try with spicy dishes, salmon, or fresh fruit.

Tom Hills bought two old vineyards in 2015 to create Domaine La Lauzeta, and immediately began organic conversion. He has quickly gained recognition, earning plaudits from such wine luminaries as Jancis Robinson, Jeb Dunnuck and Tamlyn Currin, and his wines are listed on 17 Michelin starred restaurants in France.

The estate, situated on the schist soils of Saint-Chinian, in France’s Languedoc region, is overseen by Florian Bruneau, a young Norman, who is passionate about sustainability, organics, biodynamics and low intervention winemaking and as well as being a very talented winemaker. He has worked all around the world in his short but impressive career to date – including Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Corsica, Barossa Valley and Napa Valley.
