About Domaine La Lauzeta, Lauzété en Automne
A seasonal case to enjoy as Summer moves towards, and turns into, Autumn.
Enjoy a selection of styles and vintages from Domaine La Lauzeta, a small independent biodynamic and dry-farmed estate in Saint-Chinian, the Languedoc, France, whose low-yielding vines are planted on a schist soil base.
Case is comprised of one bottle of each of the following:
- Jauzimen rosé 2022: Juicy and fruit forward rosé. Darker-hued from a warm and dry vintage. Strawberry, raspberry, cherry (12.5% abv)
- Corteza rosé 2021: Our best-selling dry rosé from a cool year. White flowers, nectarine, redcurrant, minerality. Recent seal of approval from Oz Clarke (July 2024) (13% abv)
- Mezura rosé 2021: Distinctive full-bodied and succulent small batch rosé, aged in oak and acacia barrels under a layer of flor yeast. Almond, peach, vanilla. Gold medal winner at Vinum World of Rosé awards (2023) (13.5% abv)
- Mezura rouge 2015: full-bodied and savoury blend of two thirds Syrah and one third Carignan from he estate’s first vintage. Blackberry, smoke, leather (14.5% abv)
- Mezura rouge 2016: Full bodied red from the following year, this time with Grenache added to the blend, making it softer and more juicy. Blackcurrant, fennel, iodine (15% abv)
- La Lauzeta rouge 2016: the estate’s top wine, comprised of three barrels of Syrah and one of Grenache. Fig, prune, thyme. One to save for Christmas Day, perhaps? (15.5% abv)
