A testament to Ken Schliebs’ careful custodianship, for 52 harvests, of this historic Barossa Vineyard, first planted by Ken’s family in the 1850s.

Wayne and Suzi of Smallfry Wines purchased the vineyard from Ken in 2007 to continue his good work. This classic GSM blend is made from some of the oldest blocks on the estate.

It’s full-bodied and potent, but still soft and supple, with notes of plum, cherry and cinnamon.

Wayne Ahrens and Suzi Hilder wanted to make small batch, low intervention wine, without using systemic chemicals. So they quit their secure jobs with large wine companies and founded Smallfry Wines, initially planting a site from local seedlings in Eden Valley between 1994 and 1998.
