If you can’t make our September tasting (or if you’d like something to remember it by), this tasting pack is composed of the six wines featured at the event.

All six are Portuguese low intervention / natural wines imported by Substrata from Elisa Freire Lobo in the Dão and André Duque Lourenço of Gardunha Sul in Beira Baixa.

This case comprises one bottle of each the following:

Freire Lobo, Sardanita Pet Nat 2023 (13% abv) Gloriously cloudy naturally sparkling wine. Bold yeasty top note, and underneath surprisingly delicate flavours of lemon, elderflower and custard apple 

Freire Lobo, Sardanita Peculiar White 2023 (13%) Peculiar only in its skin contact, and lightly orange hue. Traditional Dão field blend, with delicate tannins. Elegant and gentle introduction to orange wine. Nectarine, almond, wet stone

Freire Lobo, Dão rosé 2023 (13% abv) Deep in colour, this dry rosé is a blend of (in descending order): Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Jaen & Tinta Roriz. Fresh and medium bodied. Wild strawberries, roseships, redcurrants

Gardunha Sul, Gatafunho Branco 2023 (11.5%) Another skin contact white or orange wine. A blend of 70% Arinto and 30% Moscatel Graúdo, with bright acidity, minimal tannin and delicate flavours of blood orange, dried apricot and cinnamon.

Gardunha Sul, Gatafunho Tinto 2022 (12%) Light & chillable blend of 75% Castelão and 25% Trincadeira. Blueberry, blackcurrant fruit, liquorice

Gardunha Sul, Carolice Tinto 2022 (13%) Only 1200 (numbered) bottles made of this medium to full bodied red, named for André’s daughters Carolina and Alice.  Blackcurrant, fig, dark chocolate
