About Barossa Valley – Third Time Around
A third selection of UK exclusive wines from three small independent growers in the Barossa Valley, Australia.
Izway, ‘Rob & Les’ Shiraz 2019:Why Barossa Shiraz is world renowned. Aroma and flavour explosion: blackberry, black pepper, black olive; coffee, chocolate, and some developing savoury and smoky hints. Full bodied and succulent, and ready to drink. From the only off-grid producer in the Valley. (14%)
Hayes, Adelaide Hills Blanc de Noirs 2019: Only 1000 bottles made of this high quality Champagne method sparkling. Made from Pinot Noir sourced from the old Partalunga vineyard in Adelaide Hills, this is rich and lush style – think caramelised red apple and brioche. (12.5%)
Hayes, Grenache / Shiraz /Mataro Field Blend 2019: A co-fermented field blend of Barossa’s big three red varieties. Just 900 (numbered) bottles made. An aromatic delight – fruity, floral, spicy and savoury. Juicy, structured and soft. (14.5%)
Smallfry, Joven 2020: Tempranillo and Grenache dominated blend, inspired by the young and juicy wines of Spain. Tangy morello cherry and plum fruit, underpinned by a meaty bass note. (12.8%)
Smallfry, Tangerine Dream 2021: Unfiltered, dry, natural orange blend, made chiefly from Semillon and old vine Pedro Ximénez. Apricot, pink grapefruit, black pepper. (12%)
Smallfry, Stella Luna 2020: Clever blend – structure and depth from Shiraz, freshness from Cinsault. Violets, raspberry and blackcurrant; enticingly drinkable. (12%)
