Domaine de Courbissac, ‘Les Traverses Blanc’ 2020
5 in stock
An intriguing blend of Listán (known in Spain as ‘Palomino’ – the variety used to make most sherries) and Terret Gris. Notes of toasted almond from the former marry with peach and apricot flavours from the latter. There are distinct mineral notes here, and some mouthwatering salinity.
From a quality focussed Languedoc estate, and the smallest producer with whom we work, with a mere 6 acres of vines. Winemaker Brunnhilde Claux makes fresh but complex wines, using whole bunch fermentation and gentle foot treading.
We enjoy this with toasted cashew nuts, or your could try it with white fish and shellfish, lean white meats or ricotta or burrata cheeses.
