About Fasoli Gino, Pieve Vecchia, 2018
A complex and memorable dry white wine. The grapes are harvested in three tranches, each two weeks apart, meaning the finished wine has acidity, flavour and punch, at 14.5% abv. Too rich and sumptuous to be labelled Soave, this is Garganega nonetheless, barrel fermented and aged before release. We have the 2016 – expect notes of butterscotch, apricot, and almond. Enjoy with white meats, blue cheeses or toasted nuts.
From Fasoli Gino, pioneers of organic viticulture in Italy’s Veneto region, who have helped other local growers move away from the chemical sprays that encouraged ultimately unsustainable bulk wine production in the area.
